When asked to describe my shooting style in two words..., I often provide the over-simplified answer; Depth & Shape. Through these two concepts I am able to create interest in a two dimensional world. Now how does one build these into images? Here it’s not as easy to describe: light technique, depth of field, lens selection, photographic triangle, flash ratios, scrims, fill cards, grids, soft boxes. So, rather than wax prophetic about a list of techniques that don’t necessarily matter to you, I’ve chosen to show you the net effort of properly planned, properly executed photo shoots and make it look easy.

We’ve all heard the adage: Price, Quality or Speed. Pick any two. It can be fast and cheap, but not good. Or it can be expensive and good, but not fast. Says who? With over 25 years of experience, I’ve watched the photographic landscape change. Film, view cameras, ccd chips, firewire. If you’re not on top of it, you’re behind it. Watching and learning, implementing and creating. I deliver on all fronts. From a well thought out pre-pro meeting to delivering color correct files. Price, quality, speed? Sure, pick all three.

What is real?

Trust is real. Trust is earned. Through years of experience and realizing clients visions, I’ve been fortunate enough to work on amazing projects. Experience has also taught me that the world is never finished creating. Enter the world of photo retouching. A world I visit daily.
